We'll perform an annual tune-up on the water heater and replace covered parts that are worn through normal wear and tear. This plan is available ONLY with a service contract for a boiler or furnace.
Oilheat storage tanks are durable and well designed, but they eventually need to be replaced. ckSmithSuperior helps customers reduce the cost of replacing their Oilheat storage tank through our Tank-Guard® Program. If your oil tank leaks, we will replace it with a standard tank (up to 330-gallon capacity). Any permit fees and/or code upgrades are not included in this plan. For an additional level of protection, we have introduced a tank tray that can be installed under the tank to catch any oil spills, leaks, or drips.

1.) All oil supply and return lines between the oil supply tanks and oil burners are not covered by any service plan. However, to have any service plan your oil line MUST be protected per Massachusetts Codes 527 CMR 4.04e.
2.) No policy will be issued for outdated and/or obsolete equipment which will be determined by ckSmithSuperior inspectors.
The Service Plans offered are intended for the ordinary residential or comparable-sized commercial burner. These plans are only available to customers who are on automatic delivery and purchase their entire heating fuel requirements, with a minimum of 450 gallons annually, from ckSmithSuperior and its affiliates. ckSmithSuperior has the right to cancel this agreement without notice if your account is more than 30 days past due.
Each Service Plan is effective for one full year from the date of acceptance. The annual tune-up of the burner may be performed at the end of the plan year.
It is agreed that if any tax or other charges are imposed by a government authority with respect to the sale, delivery, or use of products covered under this agreement, it will be added to the price to be paid by the customer.
Your service plan will be automatically renewed for a like term unless you request otherwise. Such renewal shall be subject to any price changes made by ckSmithSuperior and its affiliates. This agreement is not written on a prorated basis and no refund will be given if canceled prior to the expiration date. We reserve the right to rescind or cancel this agreement without notice if any of the conditions set forth are not met.
Charges for labor and/or parts arising from service performed prior to acceptance of this agreement may only be covered at the sole discretion of ckSmithSuperior and its affiliates. A surcharge can be assessed for Saturday cleaning appointments.
Emergency service is defined as having no heat or hot water.
- The customer leaves switch off or setting the thermostat low to operate the unit
- Frozen oil or water lines
- Power venter or chimney problems
- Vacant or unattended premises or inaccessible areas
- Fuel tank failure or water or sediment in the oil tank
- Lack of oil or service when caused by customers' failure to make payments when due or when the customer is not on automatic delivery
- A/C related parts are not covered. If the part is used for both heating and A/C, you will be charged the difference between the heating-only part and heating/AC part
- Lack of preventative maintenance
- Equipment damaged by power surges or portable home generators
This agreement also does not cover services, repair, or replacement of parts required as the result of abnormal conditions beyond our control, such as, but not limited to, acts of God, war, flood, fire, hurricane, explosion, vandalism, and freeze-ups. Furthermore, ckSmithSuperior and its affiliates are not liable for the inability to supply parts that are no longer available due to obsolescence.
The acceptance of all service plans by ckSmithSuperior are contingent upon inspection of your heating system by a member of our Service Staff. Any defective parts, or systems, not up to code, will be not be covered under the plan.
